We are the Homeplace Collective, an immersive and vibrant art and enterainment collective based in the heart of Oakland, CA. Our passion lies in creating transformative experiences that celebrate and elevate creatives of color. Drawing ideologic inspiration from visionaries like Bell Hooks, we challenge conventions and break barriers, pushing the boundaries of art and storytelling to foster inclusivity and ignite meaningful connections. Together, we form a tight-knit family, driven by a shared mission to empower social change through the power of art. Welcome to our sanctuary, where imagination thrives, and our collective creativity paves the way to a brighter, more connected future.
What we do
At the Homeplace, we are dedicated to curating unforgettable events and immersive experiences that celebrate and elevate creatives of color. With a passion for fostering inclusivity and creativity, we collaborate with businesses and community organizations to design transformative spaces that amplify diverse voices. From the “right at home” vibes of The Hook Karaoke night at Legionnaire to the vibrant and innovative BlackMarket, a traveling vendor fair themed as an ordinary supermarket. To the electrifying Sing-A-Long at Oakland's First Friday.
